Almost Live

The process of creating Parentography began a number of months ago. In a larger sense, that’s not long at all. But, as one of the founders of the business, those months have at times felt like longer than it took to get through college. The process has been incredibly rewarding and it has been made better by the people with whom I’ve been able to share the experience. These include my wife, other family and friends, and the amazing people at Q Ltd and Highgroove Studios. And, none of this would have happened had it not been for our 18 month old daughter and it is to her that I owe the largest debt, for the idea that grew into Parentography, but also for giving me the greatest happiness I’ve known.

As we near the date when the first outsiders will see our site and be able to share in our vision, I am filled with excitement and, equally, fear. It is a bit like waiting for the arrival of a child. You hold dearly to hopes that your child will be healthy, before all else, but also beautiful, charming, intelligent, and compassionate as they age. We hope that as Parentography matures, it will exceed our expectations and be shaped in positive ways by our members and that they will invest it with practical and fun ways for families to spend time together.

There are lots of exciting ideas we have and you’ll see them all develop over the coming months. But, we also hope that you’ll make this site your own and contribute ideas that you want to see implemented — ideas for new features, improvements, fixes, and criticism. We want to hear it all! Sharing in the success of this community will make all of the effort put forth so far much richer since, after all, this site is about joining together and connecting with one another. It is exactly those types of shared experiences — the kind that make lasting memories — that we’re all about at Parentography.
